GOVERNOR’S MONTHLY LETTER AUGUST 2026 RAC On, QCRACStars Academy By: IPP Julio Lorenzo Abatayo Halika na—class is in session! Last August 01, the Rotaract Clubs of Rotary International District 3780 kicked off its flagship professional service program, the QCRACStars Academy: In Your Adulting Era. Designed for everyone at the cusp of their “adulting eras,” the multi-session speaker series empowers Rotaractors, Interactors, and youth from all backgrounds with essential professional skills to jumpstart their careers. A cohort of thirty-six Rotaractors attended the inaugural session via the official RID 3780 Discord server, where their enthusiasm and curiosity outshone the rainy Sunday skies. With the guidance of the session’s guest lecturers, the cohort spent the afternoon learning about essential job application requirements: ·“Class 101: No ID, No Problem,” led by PDRR Sen Villanueva of RID 3810, cleared the ground on the what, why, and how of securing Philippine IDs and clearances. ·“Class 102: Tracing Your Character Lore,” led by DRRE Roy Anselmo Jaluag of RID 3810, walked the participants through effective resume- and portfolio-building, and cohesive personal branding. Clear, relevant, and informative—these were what the cohort had to say about the session. One participant reflected about how the ID application process wasn’t as complicated as they first thought. Multiple attendees appreciated the tip to imagine their resumes and portfolios as storytelling tools that highlight their best selves. And everyone from the cohort agreed: there’s a lot more to learn with QCRACStars Academy. The curriculum has much more in store not just for this cohort, but for everyone interested to sit in for the next classes scheduled throughout the Rotary Year. With topics including digital branding & presence, professional etiquette, job searching, and taxes for beginners, the Academy continues to seek one goal: to create a lasting impact for its RACStars’ professional lives.
