GOVERNOR’S MONTHLY LETTER AUGUST 2026 K.A.L.E.S.A. (Kalinisan sa Lansangan, Esensya ng Sandigan) BY: SHANNIAH MAUREEN VALENCIA Guided by DepEd's core values Maka-Bayan and Maka-Kalikasan, Interact Club of Tandang Sora National High School, presents the club's own Project K.A.L.E.S.A. (Kalinisan sa Lansangan, Esensya ng Sandigan) which is conducted every last Saturday of the month from 6:00am to 9:00am with the goal of contributing towards environmental care with the club's IAC Officers, Members, and Adviser's help. The club aims to keep the town's main roads clean and garbage-free so as to prevent disease- carrying infested drainage systems, while cultivating discipline in waste management for both the student body and the community with the help of the former. Moreover, collaboration and relationship between the school and community will be strengthened with this club project. With the club's own cleanliness campaign called Oplan Tapon-wasto, volunteers are to be mobilized to conduct street cleaning and segregation activities in assigned areas to sort biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable materials. In relation to this, the club will be using materials provided by the school such as brooms, dustpans, and sacks to avoid the school budget in any way, thus the theme "Ang Bayan Ay Nagkakaisa, Walang Salapi, Pero May Pagmamahal!" Lastly, a Monthly Boda or Bayanihan Day will be organized where the club will request assistance from the barangay to transport collected garbage for proper disposal. Project K.A.L.E.S.A is not only about keeping the roads clean but it also promotes zero-waste and instills a sense of belongingness among Interactors contributing towards the club's own objectives with the help of the community. Working hand-in-hand with each other, we can contribute towards a better and cleaner environment for everyone. Together, our active youth and passionate student leaders will continue to foster change and inspire neighboring communities to do the same in making our locality a better place.
