GOVERNOR’S MONTHLY LETTER AUGUST 2026 UNO, DOS, TREES: IAC Conducts Campus-Wide Tree Inventory As part of its commitment to environmental stewardship, the Interact Club (IAC) successfully conducted the UNO, DOS, TREES (Beat the Heat with Counting Trees) project this June. The initiative aimed to create a comprehensive inventory of the trees within the school campus by identifying, classifying, and documenting different tree species and recording their total number. Through this activity, the club supported environmental monitoring while promoting awareness of the importance of preserving green spaces. The project involved a campus-wide tree inventory led by IAC officers. Members carefully inspected various areas of the school, identified tree species, counted each tree, and organized the gathered information into a consolidated report. The completed inventory was prepared for documentation and reference, contributing to future environmental planning and serving as valuable data for the school administration and relevant environmental agencies. The successful completion of UNO, DOS, TREES strengthened the club's commitment to sustainable environmental practices. Beyond producing an accurate record of the school's tree population, the project encouraged students to appreciate the role of trees in maintaining a healthy and climate-resilient campus. The activity also reinforced the values of responsibility, teamwork, and environmental conservation among participating officers. Through initiatives like this, the Interact Club continues to demonstrate that meaningful action, no matter how simple, can make a positive contribution to protecting the environment and fostering a greener school community.
