Who says leadership training has to be all serious faces, endless notes, and cups of coffee? At the 1st Pre-Presidents-Elect Learning Seminar (Pre-PELS 1) of Rotary District 3780, learning, laughter, and leadership came together for an afternoon dedicated to preparing the next generation of Rotary club leaders.
Held at Brewing Point Neighborhood Café along Congressional Avenue Extension, Quezon City, the seminar gathered Presidents-Elect and district leaders for an engaging back-to-basics refresher and a practical roadmap to leading vibrant clubs and creating lasting impact.
The program opened with a call to order by District Governor Rhyan Virrey, followed by welcome remarks from Chair Renzie Claire Rosario of the Rotary Club of Roosevelt. The gathering also featured messages from District Governor-Elect Lotlot Alvarez and Past District Governor Florian Enriquez, setting the tone for a meaningful leadership learning experience.
The seminar featured a powerhouse lineup of Rotary educators. PDS Gigi Alcala discussed Rotary Fundamentals: A Back-to-Basics Refresher, while PDG Dwight Ramos explored The Rotary Servant Leader: Putting Rotary’s 5 Core Values to Work. PDG Chito Borromeo guided participants through The Presidents-Elect Roadmap: Responsibilities and Essential Timelines, helping future club presidents prepare for the responsibilities ahead.
Adding a digital twist, PP Bhjorn “Dai” Paingan of the Rotary Club of Cubao Sunrise led a hands-on workshop on Digital Leadership—Rotary.org, District Website and Online Learning, demonstrating how technology can make Rotary leadership more connected, accessible, and effective. With interactive discussions, practical insights, fellowship
