Lead for Impact: District 3780 Equips Leaders at PELS & DTLS

On March 14, 2026, Rotary International District 3780 successfully convened its President-Elect Learning Seminar (PELS) and District Team Learning Seminar (DTLS) under the unifying theme “Lead for Impact.” The event brought together incoming club presidents, district officers, and Rotary leaders in a dynamic learning environment designed to prepare them for a year of meaningful service, effective leadership, and measurable community impact.

Building Leaders for the Rotary Year Ahead

PELS serves as a cornerstone program for incoming club presidents, equipping them with the competencies required to lead their clubs with clarity, confidence, and strategic direction. Complementing this, DTLS focuses on strengthening the district leadership team—ensuring alignment, collaboration, and operational excellence across all areas of service.

Through a series of structured sessions, participants gained insights into:

  • Strategic Club Leadership and Governance
  • Membership Growth and Engagement
  • Service Project Planning and Execution
  • Public Image and Communications
  • Foundation Giving and Stewardship
  • Digital Tools and Systems for Club Management

The seminars emphasized not only technical knowledge but also the leadership mindset needed to navigate evolving community needs and organizational priorities.

“Lead for Impact”: A Call to Purposeful Leadership

Anchored on the theme Lead for Impact, the event challenged participants to go beyond routine administration and embrace leadership that delivers tangible, sustainable outcomes. Discussions centered on how Rotary leaders can:

  • Drive high-impact, community-centered projects
  • Foster stronger collaboration within and across clubs
  • Leverage innovation and digital transformation
  • Align initiatives with Rotary’s global priorities

The sessions reinforced the importance of intentional leadership—where every project, partnership, and program contributes to lasting change.

Collaboration, Learning, and Fellowship

Beyond the formal sessions, PELS and DTLS provided a platform for collaboration and exchange of best practices among Rotarians. Participants engaged in interactive workshops, group discussions, and networking opportunities that strengthened relationships and encouraged peer learning.

This collaborative environment enabled leaders to share real-world challenges and solutions, creating a collective knowledge base that will benefit clubs throughout the district.

Preparing for a Year of Service Excellence

As District 3780 prepares for the upcoming Rotary year, the successful conduct of PELS and DTLS ensures that its leaders are well-equipped to deliver on Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self.” With a clear focus on impact, innovation, and collaboration, the district is poised to implement programs that create meaningful and measurable change in communities.

The momentum generated from this event underscores a shared commitment among Rotarians: to lead with purpose, serve with passion, and create lasting impact.
