One Rotary year had ended, but service had not. On August 7, the Immediate Past Presidents of Rotary International District 3780 came together for their first batch-led project: a disaster relief operation for families displaced by the July 29 fire in GK San Rose, Barangay Kapitolyo, Pasig. It turned fellowship forged during their presidencies into collective service.
Led by IPP Jen Rosendahl, with support from IPDG Veronica Yu, the UFG Presidents pooled resources, mobilized volunteers, and coordinated partners. The Rotary Club of Roosevelt, QC joined the effort, together with Cxperts Asia, Gardenia Philippines, RapidLine Emergency Medical Services, and Team Network Mobile Kitchen. Together, they served warm meals to 250 individuals, distributed 300 loaves of bread, delivered grocery packs to 70 families, and maintained on-site medical support.
Each contribution mattered, but the milestone was the batch itself. These leaders no longer headed their clubs, yet they chose to keep leading together. By making disaster response their first collective undertaking, the UFG Presidents showed that a Rotary term can end without ending the purpose it created. Presidency became fellowship, fellowship became action, and action became a promise to carry Unite for Good beyond one year and into communities that need it most.
